So lately the weather has been pretty good and the kids have LOVED being outside. I am ready to spend hour after hour outside all spring, summer and fall for that matter. Update wise all is going well. We are getting excited for the baby to come (I know, I know I'll post a picture) we like the names Megan and Abigail, we'd call her Abby. But we have decided to wait until she comes to make the final decision. Probably because Scott likes one and I like the other but that is okay.
We have also been trying to save money and make money on the side. For now I will just write about the saving money because it has given us quite the rush. We have started clipping coupons. I have to say I was quite hesitant about it because we tried it once before and only saved a couple of dollars a week. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! But this time Scott saw a news article (surprise, surprise) about a lady that clips coupons and how she bought over $1000 worth of groceries for about $250 so we decided to look into it. Here is the fun part....I will just tell you what we were able to do today...all for $20 and change...counting tax (for some reason a lot of coupon clippers don't count tax but that doesn't make sense to me because you still have to pay it). We bought 10 boxes of Post cereal regularly $4.69 at Albertsons for about .30 a box. 4 cans of hormel chili for .45 a can. 4 cans of dole pineapples .35 a can. 4 16 oz darigold strawberry or chocolate flavored milk FREE. John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner regularly 6 something each for 1.20 a piece. 2 things of colgate toothpaste for .50 cents a piece regularly 3.50 or 3.60. A dozen eggs FREE. Two things of lysol disinfecting wipes .50 a piece. Gallon of fat free milk $1.00 and a package of oreos $1.50....I think that is all...IT WAS SUCH A RUSH. But here is the thing, you don't have to "know" how to clip coupons. I don't. All I do is follow these two websites athriftymom.com and krazycouponlady.blogspot.com (I had them as links and for some reason it wasn't working so just copy and paste it) and they find all of the deals and tell you how to do it. (they are both Idaho based so it may be a little different if you live in another state) MUCH BETTER THAN SAVING A COUPLE BUCKS A WEEK. So there you have it. Hopefully it will help us build up our food storage and save money on our grocery bill. It seems to be working so far, the last 3 dozen eggs we have bought were FREE.
Well here are a few pictures of what has been happening lately.

Scott was having some fun with the kids...Katie and Paul would get frustrated when it was the other one's turn. Dad's just too much fun.

Katie spent about an hour watching it pour from our front door. She likes to strip down to her diaper lately so that is why she has just the blanket on.

Paul fell asleep while I was talking to my sister on the phone...I guess I waited too long to put him down for his nap.

Our two little cuties!
