A quick update.

So I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking.
The first snow...there has been plenty more, and Katie loves it!
Paul on the other hand was crying most of the time. How I got this picture I will never know.
Katie is our little helper she loves to feed her brother.
Trying to potty train Katie...hasn't quite been going like we thought :0) any suggestions are welcome!
I have redecorated the Christmas tree multiple times. This was the worst. Paul pulled the whole thing down on top of him. Katie was screaming, not because Paul was hurt but because he wrecked the "pretty Christmas tree."

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. We are really excited to see a lot of family over the New Year!

Holiday Parade

As promised here are some pictures of Scott and Katie in the Parade last Saturday. It was a great time. Scott and Katie got to be in it and I just had Paul on the side of the road watching the Parade. It was a great time to relax.
After receiving a question about the cart...they were helping the Salvation Army. The cart is empty at the beginning of the parade and it is full of canned food and toys at the end.

Sorry if the pictures are small. They weren't taken on our camera and I don't know how to change it. Maybe Scott will change it later for me. Anyway enjoy the miniscule photos for now!

Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Christmas tree Oh MY!!!

So we had a GREAT week! Thanksgiving was hard because Scott had to go to work at 1:30 so Dinner started at 12:15. It worked out just great and we are still enjoying the fruits/veggies of our labors.
yes that is a salt shaker. Luckily it is sea salt and you have to grind it to get it out.
Paul loved the food, he eats more than Katie at every meal...hence the reason why he is so much bigger than she ever was!
The table with about 3/4 of the food on it.
Here is my attempt at an apple pie. I have yet to get one right. This time I forgot to put the flour in the apple mixture so instead of gooey apples they were just juicy apples. Oh well, next time!
You have to have a picture of Pumpkin pie! This is one of two that was made. LOVE IT!

Before continuing on to the next section. I have to insert that I ventured out at 4:30 in the morning on Black Friday and it was once again totally worth it. For the last two years I have gone and everything I have bought was at least half off! So the kids were able to get a little more than expected and the Christmas shopping is pretty much done. And I was back in bed by 5:40...No one ever missed me.
This is Paul's Christmas Tree Face. He will stare and screech like it is the greatest thing in the world.
Scott's job every year is the star because he doesn't like to join in on the festivities.
So thanks for being a good sport hun!
The finished product.
Where you can find Katie most of the time now. She says "whoa mom, so pretty Christmas tree!"

So a peek of what is to come. We went to the holiday parade today because Scott was in it for work and we got a couple of good pictures but that is a story for another day.

Introducing...

Baby Evans #3

The baby is upside down. You can make out the beginnings of a leg in the upper left area. The bottom is the head and the black area inside the outline of the baby is the brain. He/She is about 2/3 of an inch right now! It was amazing to see the heart beat the everything. We are really excited to add another one to our family.

The baby's big debut will be around July 1st 2009!

Paul's First Haircut

It was a little bit of a battle...but we won!

Sisters for a Weekend

This last weekend my two sisters Andy and Kimi came for a visit. Andy's whole family came, (Andy, Eric Ruth and Sadie) the kids had so much fun together. Those were actually the only pictures that I got. It was so much fun having everyone here. The girls even got to go out to lunch with no babies....thanks Eric!
Katie and little Sadie.
Ruth and Katie were throwing leaves at each other for about 10 minutes
There is this wood barrier that goes all the way around our playground and the girls played a little bit of follow the leader.
They had a lot of fun on the playground.
The weekend was GREAT! I wish I would have gotten more pictures of everyone else but enjoy the pictures of the girls.

Helping Mommy Cook

We made cookies the other day and the kids had such a good time helping. I turned the oven light on so they could watch and they literally stood there and watched the cookies rise. It was pretty cute. Katie would scream...Mommy LOOK...Cookies.

Katie loved the dough.
Admiring their hard work.
I love that Katie likes to help but yesterday it got dangerous. She pushed her chair over to the oven stood up on the chair and was scrambling the eggs as they were cooking. Luckily she didn't get burnt.

Happy Halloween

Okay, so I don't know why the pictures are uploading differently now but I don't feel like re-doing it and putting them all in order so you will get our Halloween backwards. It would probably work out okay if you read the post from end to beginning. Anyway you do you will still get the picture.

I got the prize for most original costume. What is it you ask, that happened earlier in the day.
Paul won the prize for most BOO-tiful baby. I have to say that I agree, but I thought that I was always a little biased.
Katie was just happy to have all of her candy!
The three of us at our ward trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun, and dad was even able to show up for a little bit and take Katie around.
Scott Evans, Idaho's News Channel Seven.
Cheerleader
Harry Potter
After the kids nap, Katie was really excited to go but we couldn't pass the time fast enough so we decorated her candy bag. It was actually a lot of fun. Maybe we will do it every year.
Paul enjoying his breakfast jack o lantern.
For breakfast I made brains (scrambled eggs) and jack o lanterns (pancakes with banana faces) for the kids. It was a perfect start to a great halloween.

Fall Fun

So we haven't really posted anything for awhile. I guess it means it is time to play a little bit of catch up. We have really enjoyed being outside in the fall weather.
We went to a campground and had tin foil dinners and smores.
It was right by a stream and Katie LOVED throwing rocks in the water. Not just pebbles, she would find the biggest rock she could carry and try and throw it in the stream. This picture is right after she threw it.
Paul has officially mastered the playground. The second we put him down he heads straight for the stairs. He can climb up and crawl all over the playground.
He loves the slide. I think it has been his greatest feat. He can climb all the way up and turn around to slide back down.
It wouldn't be fall without playing in the leaves. We got the pile so big over a couple weeks that it was taller than Katie. She will run around a tree and sing ring around the rosie and then when it gets close to the end she runs about 20 feet over to the pile of leaves and "falls down." It's hilarious.

Our little photo shoot
