Family Fun

This summer has been FULL of exciting things. The kids are growing up and we are just happy to be together. We got to go to the fair, visit Utah multiple times, go up to Spokane, go to the swimming pool almost EVERYDAY this summer. Katie and Paul both learned how to swim. Megan still proclaims that she HAS to wear her floaty because she sinks. Scott took a trip to Texas with college friends. And Ellie is growing up so fast. She is rolling over back to front and front to back...she scoots in circles and backwards (hasn't figured out moving forward yet) and she is sitting up on her own. I love when the kids start doing things on their own. I know I am forgetting some things but needless to say we have been staying very busy.

Now that fall has come we are starting to settle back into everyday life. Since we aren't gone all of the time I have really potty trained Megan and she is doing great. Katie has started a little dance class and I am doing Preschool with the kids a few times a week. Scott on the other hand is busy at work.

I will try to post more often now. Because I realize I am missing chunks of time from my memory. This is what I have as a history of what we have been up to.

My little Ellie

Here's the newest addition...since I never told the story here is the short hand version.
started counting contractions at church sunday morning...held off until after midnight...went to the hospital was at 5 cm...got the epidural at 3:30 in the morning...it wore off after they turned me to find Ellie's heart beat....so I felt everything from about 5am on...except my left leg. (To all you women that choose to go without the pain medication I say WOW...I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy) They think that the tube moved and all of the medicine went straight to the one leg...broke my water at around 8:45...she came a little after 9 in the morning...doctor barely made it.

She was healthy and beautiful. 8 lbs 1oz and 21 inches long
at her 2 month appointment she was 11 lbs 14oz and 23 inches long. she doesn't seem like a newborn anymore.

Here's some pictures...especially for you Jody since you asked :)

OH WE LOVE HER!

For those of you still looking

I told Abby I would post some pictures for her. So for those of you that happen to come across the blog...maybe I will start doing a wordless wednesday or slowly get back into the blogging sphere.

Here are some pictures of my precious babes!

We went to Jump Creek Canyon...maybe I should do a post on that adventure. The kids had to cross the creek. It was a rock path about 20 feet across. Went with the Rex's, SO MUCH FUN!

Kids are enjoying the new place...Loving the extra space...not so much the third floor living environment.
Paul fell asleep on the floor after we got back from swimming. I love how he looks like he is posing but this is actually how he sleeps almost every night.
Ellie's hair has gotten long enough to put it in a pony tail on top of her head. Gotta love it!

Life is good...hopefully more posts will come...but no promises!

Guess What?

We went to the doctor's office this week and found out that everything is great! We also found out that we are having a baby Girl!!!

Half way there...half way to go. I'll tell you one thing I NEVER thought I would be counting down the days before I was 3 months pregnant but I have been counting down for about 3 months already. It's definitely been the hardest pregnancy of them all. We are due in the middle of April.

Tell us what you think...these are the names that we like

Lindsey
Kenzie
Ellie

That is not in any particular order but there you have it. We are having baby number four and we are super excited about it!

Feeling Good

I have had one of those weeks where it seems like I can do anything.

The house has been clean for a few nights. I have accomplished TONS of things and it has just been one of those weeks when I feel like I have done something, ANYTHING really.

I haven't taken pictures of everything that I've done but I am going to post the last thing I did. I have wanted one of those storage cubbies for all of my kids toys for a long time. And we happened to have a bookshelf with only one shelf on it. So what did I do you ask? I took a hand saw and trust me I should have definitely used something else now that I am finished and looking back but hey I got it done. Anyway I took the handsaw and cut up that bookshelf and turned it into this....

Now all I need to do is go and find the little canvas bins to put into it. So if anyone knows where I can find them for pretty inexpensive I would love to know.

I need some HELP!

As most of you know I am the kind of mom that waits to potty train my kids until they are about 2 and 1/2 and can talk and tell me exactly when the need to go and all of that sort of stuff.

BUT...Megan has really taken to the toilet as of late and has done her #2 business in the toilet for over a week now. (Every day without fail...kind of nice not changing poopy diapers) So the problem is, I have NO idea how to potty train a 17 month old. Anybody have any ideas? She has #2 down but I don't even know if she recognizes when she pees. But I am just not sure I want to give this up because she LOVES the toilet so much. I mean SCREAMS when I get her off. I think it's because she sees her two older siblings going all the time.

SO ANY AND ALL IDEAS, CRAZY or NOT ARE MORE THAN WELCOME! Thanks in advance.
