Out in the Sun

Yesterday as a family we went to a nature center and went on a little nature walk. It was fun. We saw different kinds of birds and fish. It was nice to be out and about. Katie was funny. She loved looking at the fish and enjoyed being outside. Anyway, for the first time since we have been to Boise I have pictures! Yeah! Scott ended up getting the iPhone yesterday and we have a semi replacement for our missing camera. So hopefully in the next couple of days I will post some pictures of our home for everyone too!

Break it Down...

This morning Scott and I watched the movie Stomp the Yard before he had to go to work. We both enjoyed it. The best part was watching Katie on the floor. For those who haven't seen the movie it's about step competitions. So while the music was going Katie was on the floor bobbing her head then spinning in the circle on her rear end and bobbing again. Looks like we have ourselves a little dancer. At the end of the movie Scott started dancing with her and she went back to her own dance style. It was fun to watch the two of them goof off together.

Baby Steps

Yesterday Katie hit yet another milestone in her little life. We were playing downstairs and I was helping her to stand up. Katie's personality wasn't satisfied with just standing. I would put her an arms length away and she would lean over and fall onto me. After doing this for about 2-3 minutes she took her first step! The first time it was two steps, then three. Then she fell into me once again. So being the over excited mother that I am I called Scott at work. While we were on the phone she took four steps! It was so fun. When Scott came home last night we had her walking again. Five Steps! I was absolutely amazed. She is just barely nine months old. We were working with her again this morning and she is up to SEVEN steps. It is so fun to see her grow up!

Katie was Standing!!!

Katie has been on the verge of standing on her own for a while but she never gets the guts to let go of me and Scott...that all changed today. We were enjoying a yogurt together in the living room on the floor right before lunch. She was sitting right beside me when all of the sudden she grabbed my knee and pushed off of it. She stood there for three bites of yogurt! It ended up being about ten seconds because I would take a bite then she would take a bite. When she was done standing she squatted to a sitting position. She didn't fall down or anything. Then me being the over achiever tried to get her to do it again but of course she wouldn't.
