Snake River Stampede
We went to the rodeo yesterday with Scott's cousin Josh and family. I absolutely loved it. It was just so fascinating to me. Scott said that he was a little bored some of the time, but mostly it was great just to get out and go somewhere together as a family. Katie loved the barrel racing. When the horse would come out she would start clapping and continue clapping until the horse left when she would promptly put both hands in the air and say uh-huh where'd it go. Then another horse would come and it would start all over again. Paul was more like dad. He fell asleep and stayed that way for most of the night. Here are a few pictures of the adventure.
I learned last night that the horses they used for bucking are bred to buck just like thoroughbreds are bred to run. Just a little food for thought.
Katie was enthralled most of the evening.
This act is called the one arm bandit. There is something wrong with one of his arms so he can't use it and the other arm he would use for the whip. So he rode his horse and steered with his legs. It was pretty cool. Then he corraled these two buffalo wherever he wanted them to go.
Paul enjoying his much needed nap. I was just shocked he stayed asleep, it was pretty loud.
At the end of the night, can you tell the kids are done?

Just Another Day

Happy Independence Day!
So this 4th of July was going to be a little hard for me because Scott had to work until around 11:30 that night. That left me home with the kids for one exciting holiday...boy was I wrong! It turned out that Scott was covering the festivities of the fourth so we were able to all be together during the fireworks. Not only that but the whole family was on the news. I wasn't too excited about it but it worked out okay I guess. It was really fun to be out and about and it was fun to get to watch Scott work as well. The kids were fun to see react to the fireworks as well. Katie was scared at first but took to them by the end of the night. On the other hand Paul was screaming because he was so tired and then the fireworks went off and he went into a little trance. It was a great night. Here are a few pictures.

It's too bad you can't see this up close...there was cracker ALL over everywhere.
Katie and her fake picture smile. This is what her smile turns into when she says cheese for the camera.
Scott getting ready to interview a family on the news.
Well Happy Late 4th of July to one and all!

Let's Recap
Okay so here is what happened over the last week or so. A lady in my ward was going down to Utah and asked Scott if I wanted to go from Thursday until Tuesday. So of course he said yes. There turned out to be so much going on while I was down in Utah. We will let the pictures do the talking.
Got to Utah Thursday and went to a park with all of the kids.
Friday, went to Scott's cousins wedding luncheon then hit the ball field for a little bit of batting practice.
Decided to cut my hair and chopped about 4-5 inches Saturday morning...thanks jody!
Went to Scott's cousins wedding Saturday morning. Saw Elder Perry in the temple.
David and Karin right after the wedding.
I can't post what happened over the week without showing a picture of what it was like at the Evans' home. Babies galore. They had SO much fun together!
Well Saturday night was the yearly friend get together for all of Scott's high school friends and spouses. It was a lot of fun. It took me forever to get Katie out of the pool!
Saturday night Kimi came and stayed the night then when to church with us on Sunday.
Monday was a hang out day and we headed back home for the long car ride on Tuesday.
And this is what I came home to...
4 dozen roses scattered at my feet.
a clean house
more flower petals
Scott was still at work by the way
And a new iPod nano and some fun gifts...and a really LONG letter
But wait there is more, when I was walking up the stairs I started to hear music playing. The computer was playing the slideshow of our wedding. It was the perfect end to our long busy trip!
Talk about a great homecoming!

Rounding up the Evans'
This last weekend we were lucky enough to be able to head down to Utah and be in the Salt Lake Temple for Isaac's sealing. It is now official that all of Bob and Diane's children are theirs for eternity. It was a great little trip. It is always hard to go and come home so quickly. But it is better than nothing.
I mostly feel bad for Katie because she gets used to being so free, maybe a little too free as you can tell by the little head wound. Then we come home to our condo and she feels trapped.
I finally got a good picture of our little sweethearts. They really do always play that well together.
Our little family
Scott's brother Isaac that was sealed.
All of Bob and Diane's grandkids...well there is one more but little girl Evans' isn't coming until September (Mark and Jody's baby)
Katie had a tumble off of the firepit...she also fell down the hole in the trampoline, but went unscathed with that one.

Whirlwind Weekend
So the weekend started at 4:30 on Sunday morning. We woke to the alarm and Scott took a quick shower while I got the rest of the car packed. We were on the road to Utah by 5am and got to Alpine at around 10:15. Where we shocked Diane to the point of screaming. It was a great Mother's Day surprise. So we got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa. Monday morning we headed to Midway and spent the day with some really great friends. The Boothe's and Kacher's. It was so much fun! Then by 6:30 we were back on the road, destined for Boise. It was a quick trip but totally worth the exhaustion.
Katie and Grace.
I have no idea what they are looking at but the picture turned out pretty cool.
Paul and his cousin Mason.
Happy Birthday to the love of my life by the way!
Long lost friends. They were holding hands like that for some time.
We think that they look like they could be related.
Next door neighbors reunited once again.
Thanks to everyone who made the weekend so much fun!
