Breakfast this morning

So my wonderful husband set the alarm clock this morning for 6:30 so he could go to the store and buy a few things to make me Stuffed French Toast this morning. He made the syrup and everything. I have to say that I think I am pretty lucky.

Here are the fruits of his labors. If you want a recipe you will have to ask the hubby. I just know it was fruity creamy goodness. I had never had Stuffed French Toast before but hopefully we will be having it again.

Megan is doing great. 2 and 1/2 weeks old already. She is a very easy baby. She is just now starting to really wake up. For the first while all she did was wake up to eat and go right back to sleep. The kids absolutely adore her and we are making the adjustment slowly but surely.

It's funny because I felt like I had everything so under control with two kids and now that there are three of them I find it hard to find time to do anything. Don't get me wrong, adding Megan to the family has been very natural--it's just now I don't seem to have time to clean, cook, read, or anything else for that matter. I am sure it will just take some getting used to.

The family is doing great and we are really loving being a family of five!

Summer Swimming

Megan and I enjoyed some time sun bathing while the rest of the family enjoyed a swim. I have to admit that I am VERY jealous because swimming is my favorite summer time thing and I can't swim until August.

Tiffany Here--Home Sweet Home

It says the post has been done by me but the video is all Scott. You gotta love having a talented husband :)

So I guess this is when I tell the story for all of those that want to know. We now have beautiful Megan Rose Evans born June 28th at 1:03 a.m. So Saturday morning I woke up at around 6:00 a.m. with contractions about five minutes apart. Around 10 am we went to the hospital and they had me walk for an hour and they told me that I wasn't in "active" labor and sent us home around noon. That has got to be the worst thing to tell a pregnant lady. I'm sorry but you aren't doing anything...the pain your feeling is totally worthless. So dejected and rejected we went home.

I sent Scott to work and continued to count the contractions. I took a nap with the kids and would wake up to the pain every once in a while but my guess is that rest was able to get my body doing what it needed to do. So 5:00 p.m. rolls around and contractions are still five minutes apart. On it goes until 9:15 p.m. when Scott came home from work. We had about a half an hour to wait until our friend Melissa came to watch our two babies. So I went out to walk around the complex the whole time scared to death that I was going to go back and hear the same thing again. Not really in labor, go home and come back when it really hurts.

We left at around 10:00 p.m. and stopped to get Scott some dinner, you have got to love fast food (I know Scott does). And the moment of truth came around 10:30...the nurse totally played on Scott's sarcasm. She looked so sullen and I was sure she was going to send us home. But happily I was between 4-5 centimeters dilated and within 2 1/2 hours Megan was born. Here's the kicker...I only had to push for one contraction. That's right, just one. It was about the easiest thing, but I am sure the epidural helped out quite a lot :)

Now we have been home for a few days and I have to say the transition is happening quite easily. I am sure there will be lots of frustration and lots of hard times, but for now we are LOVING the time together as a family and enjoying having Megan here with us.

Oh, special plus for me I stepped on the scale this morning to see if I have lost anything...16 pounds down...about 10 to go. It's not very often you can say you lost 16 pounds from the last time you stepped on the scale :)

She's Here (And it's me again)!!!

I won't say much now or post much, but here are the stats:

Tiffany is doing great and Megan is also doing great!

Here I am again!

Well, I've blogged so many times in a row now It's hard to keep count. Why isn't Tiffany blogging anymore you might ask? Good question. I just don't know, I can only speculate. But a good hint might have something to do with this picture.

Let me give you an update on where she is right now. Today, Saturday, she is 11 days from her due date. But you probably already knew that from looking on the right side of our blog, not to mention the paper chain that you made at your home so you can keep track on your own when our baby will be due.

Since Wednesday she's been having contractions. For the first day or so they were around 10-15 minutes apart. They weren't hurting her, but they were coming none the less. In the past day and a half the frequency has increased to, on average, about 7 minutes apart and the intensity has also increased. From the looks of things, this probably is labor.

Then yesterday afternoon the frequency of the contractions backed off to 10 minutes again, but the intensity continued to go up. Last night Tiff wasn't able to sleep very well and she is getting more and more tired from these contractions that are making her stomach, back and thighs very sore. Those of you who have gone through birth, (like me, mine was a kidney stone. Those count I think.) know what kind of pain this can be.

So that's the latest on that. We may go into the hospital today, it may be tomorrow, it may be next week, we just have to wait for the contractions to be consistently 5-7 minutes apart. We're hoping that's sooner rather than later, but neither one of us have very much control over it.

Here's the latest on the names we're thinking - at least from my perspective, which by the way, is Tiffany's perspective as well.

So those are the names we like right now. We may switch things up at the last minute like we did last time, we'll see.

Here's some limited video from a Media Football game I took part in this last Wednesday. Our team got smoked, but once again - our team's MVP. I scored our only touchdown as well as two point conversion. The highlights are only from the first half, and the touchdown came at the end of the game. Our quarterback is a pro quarterback from the Boise Burn, an Arena Football team. I hope you enjoy.
