The Special Olympics

So I haven't forgotten about the movie of Paul. We have it and it is coming. I can never get it to work for me so I need to have Scott work his wonders. Meanwhile I figure I should probably post something. The 2009 Special Olympics Winter Games are here in Boise. Scott has been covering a whole lot of it so we decided to go and see some of the games on his day off. It was a lot of fun. If you are interested at all go to KTVB.com and see some of the stories that Scott has done this last week. They have been pretty incredible. This floor hockey team from the Dominican Republic is one of the teams he did a story on. About a week or so before the games they found out they didn't have enough money for all of the plane tickets...half to be exact. Well people called in and donated and miracle after miracle happened and low and behold they were able to make it. Scott tells it better than I do... http://www.ktvb.com/video/?z=y&nvid=330221
Katie and Paul wanted to run around everywhere while we were at the games so we put them in the make shift "playpen"
It was the supports that were holding up the floor hockey courts.

This was the Trinidad and Tobago vs Canada game. There was a guy that was cheering on Trinidad so loud because there were about 6-7 people cheering on Canada. It was pretty funny. Scott ended up doing a story on this one too. http://www.ktvb.com/video/index.html?nvid=331200

It turned out to be a really fun day and we all went home and took about a 2 1/2 hour nap when we were all done.

SIDE NOTE....We have hit the half way point in the pregnancy!!! We find out if we are having a boy or girl next friday. We will keep you posted.

Just because I thought it was so dang cute

One of Katie's favorite songs is "I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home." It's funny because all day all the kids want is Scott and then when he gets home for some reason all they want is mom.

Next up...Paul has his newest thing that he does and we are trying to get it on video so you can see it. I will ask him a question such as...Paul where's Katie or Paul where did your bottle go? He will look around and if he can't see it he turns back to me and says "I don't know" It makes me laugh every time. We are trying to get it up for the grandparents so be patient. It will come.

Just a couple pictures before church

This was the outfit that all the little girls wore for Craig and Mandie's wedding. They all looked so cute, but since we lost all of those pictures I had to make sure I got a couple of Katie in the dress.

Paul loves the camera. It doesn't matter if he was crying two seconds before, when he sees the camera he puts on his grin.

And here is the baby bump at almost 17 weeks. We find out if it is a boy or a girl on the 20th of February. This is the first time that Scott and I have no idea what it is going to be. So any guesses are welcome.

My little artist

So I was all happy this morning because Katie and Paul were playing so well together in their room. They were up there for about 20 minutes without any crying. I actually got to spend some alone time with Scott. So they ended up coming downstairs and when they leave their room Katie closes the door behind them. So we went on for a little while and I noticed that Katie's hands were blue. I asked her where the marker was and she said "it's upstairs mom." Like duh of course you should know that. I walked into the room to find our wall decorated. So Scott took the kids for a minute so I could clean up the remains, but not before I got a couple pictures with the culprit. So now I have blue tinted walls, any advice on getting the last bit off would be VERY helpful.

Ready to pull my hair out....

Okay, so here is the scoop. We had pictures on our camera from before Christmas all the way through Paul's birthday. So I thought that Scott transfered them over to the computer and I was going to do about 4 posts for the different events. Then I sat down and opened iPhoto to rummage through the pictures and what do I find...NO PICTURES!!! So I grab our camera. I turn it on and click on the picture button and the two saddest words come up. NO IMAGE. Scott is gone so maybe there is some explanation but for those of you who have asked for a post I am trying. I am going to be quite upset though if we just lost pictures from, here's the kicker...Christmas, New Year's Eve, Craig's wedding, my birthday and Paul's birthday!!! It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was just a few pictures, but no I have to lose about 10 pages worth of scrapbooking material!!! (I got a digital scrapbooking program for Christmas and am loving it) So if you are wondering why we have no new pictures there is your answer. Hopefully Scott will come home and be by knight in shining armor and show me what happened. If not, know that we had a bunch of cute pictures to share and imagine them.

A quick update.

So I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking.
The first snow...there has been plenty more, and Katie loves it!
Paul on the other hand was crying most of the time. How I got this picture I will never know.
Katie is our little helper she loves to feed her brother.
Trying to potty train Katie...hasn't quite been going like we thought :0) any suggestions are welcome!
I have redecorated the Christmas tree multiple times. This was the worst. Paul pulled the whole thing down on top of him. Katie was screaming, not because Paul was hurt but because he wrecked the "pretty Christmas tree."

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. We are really excited to see a lot of family over the New Year!

Holiday Parade

As promised here are some pictures of Scott and Katie in the Parade last Saturday. It was a great time. Scott and Katie got to be in it and I just had Paul on the side of the road watching the Parade. It was a great time to relax.
After receiving a question about the cart...they were helping the Salvation Army. The cart is empty at the beginning of the parade and it is full of canned food and toys at the end.

Sorry if the pictures are small. They weren't taken on our camera and I don't know how to change it. Maybe Scott will change it later for me. Anyway enjoy the miniscule photos for now!
