Guess What?
We went to the doctor's office this week and found out that everything is great! We also found out that we are having a baby Girl!!!
Half way there...half way to go. I'll tell you one thing I NEVER thought I would be counting down the days before I was 3 months pregnant but I have been counting down for about 3 months already. It's definitely been the hardest pregnancy of them all. We are due in the middle of April.
Tell us what you think...these are the names that we like
Lindsey
Kenzie
Ellie
That is not in any particular order but there you have it. We are having baby number four and we are super excited about it!

Feeling Good
I have had one of those weeks where it seems like I can do anything.
The house has been clean for a few nights. I have accomplished TONS of things and it has just been one of those weeks when I feel like I have done something, ANYTHING really.
I haven't taken pictures of everything that I've done but I am going to post the last thing I did. I have wanted one of those storage cubbies for all of my kids toys for a long time. And we happened to have a bookshelf with only one shelf on it. So what did I do you ask? I took a hand saw and trust me I should have definitely used something else now that I am finished and looking back but hey I got it done. Anyway I took the handsaw and cut up that bookshelf and turned it into this....
Now all I need to do is go and find the little canvas bins to put into it. So if anyone knows where I can find them for pretty inexpensive I would love to know.

I need some HELP!
As most of you know I am the kind of mom that waits to potty train my kids until they are about 2 and 1/2 and can talk and tell me exactly when the need to go and all of that sort of stuff.
BUT...Megan has really taken to the toilet as of late and has done her #2 business in the toilet for over a week now. (Every day without fail...kind of nice not changing poopy diapers) So the problem is, I have NO idea how to potty train a 17 month old. Anybody have any ideas? She has #2 down but I don't even know if she recognizes when she pees. But I am just not sure I want to give this up because she LOVES the toilet so much. I mean SCREAMS when I get her off. I think it's because she sees her two older siblings going all the time.
SO ANY AND ALL IDEAS, CRAZY or NOT ARE MORE THAN WELCOME! Thanks in advance.

Guess What I Made...
Lately I have been wanting Buffalo Wings all of the time. There is this place here called Buffalo Wild Wings and it has about 12 different sauces and oh the goodness of the food. I love it. I was craving it the other day so what did I do...I made them at home from scratch. I made the boneless ones but they were good.
After we ate dinner Scott went over to the couch, reclined back and said "I feel like I just ate an all you can eat wing dinner at a restaurant without the buyers remorse." I made me feel good and it completely satisfied the craving. Better yet, it didn't cost us $20.

Katie's 4th Birthday
My little baby turned four on the 28th of September. I am still letting that soak in that I actually have a four year old. We had such a fun time together as a family and Katie absolutely loved her birthday and proudly goes around telling everyone that she is four now.
We went to a place called Monkey Business and there is this big blow up slide, a blow up obstacle course, a jumpy house thing and almost like a ropes course type thing. The kids had a blast. There was this toy house too, that Katie enjoyed apparently.
She got a dress up box (the pink box) for her birthday and has been putting on princess dresses ever since. I have lost my Katie and now MUST call her Cinderella.
She wanted a Tinkerbell cake and has been asking for it for about 2 months so I decided I would attempt it...just kidding. I printed off a coloring page off the internet, colored it, cut it out and stuck it on the cake. Katie was pleased.
It was a fun day and we really had a good time together!

A week in the life...
This week has been no different than usual. Just living and loving being a stay at home mom but I have to say how much I envy my husband this week. He gets to do so many amazing things, so I thought I would show you what his life consisted of this week in no particular order because my pictures always end up in a funky order anyway.
College game day came rolling into Boise...Scott had a sideline pass at the Bronco football game.
He co-hosted the Women's fitness Celebration. There were over 11,000 women there.
It's America's largest women's 5K. People keep telling me how crazy he was.
The college football trophy came to KTVB.
That little crystal ball costs over $30,000!
And he gets to be on TV. But this week what takes the cake is I watched him give out an autograph. I can tell you one thing that is something I thought would never happen when we got married.

Handsome Paul
So this picture doesn't really need an explanation but you will get it anyway. Paul would NOT let me put the tie inside his vest because then he couldn't see it. After about 30 seconds of him SCREAMING I decided to let him do what he wanted to do. Oh and we know the tie is too big...he won't wear his other one because it is not as cool as this one. I LOVE MY LITTLE BOY!!!!

High in the Sky
So this last week Boise had something that is called the Spirit of Boise. Basically tons of hot air balloons take off from a park downtown for four days. And on one of the nights, (happened to be the night of the BYU game so we didn't end up going down there) they light up the balloons and fly in the dark.
Well Scott got to go up in one of them. Enjoy the view from high in the sky.
I love these two pictures. You can't tell what he is in, just looks like he is standing in mid air.
LOVE looking at all the balloons.

And we're back
Okay, sorry it's been months since I have posted but you know what I figure during summer you get to take a break right? Right!
The kids are getting big and life is moving forward. Nothing really big to post about right now, I have decided I am not going to try and catch you up from the summer but just pick back up where we are now. So summer is coming to an end, both Katie and Paul can ride a bike now...no more tricycles. This was a big deal for me. It is crazy to think that I have kids that are old enough to be riding bikes. I guess they are officially not toddlers. Megan is walking and talking and screaming. She is definitely my most vocal. And the most stubborn. Scott is working, working and more working. He is anchoring a lot now and it is SO much fun to watch him. Scott and I are playing on a softball team together and that has been a LOT of fun. I forgot how much I like the sport. Other than that I get to be mom day in and day out...I am trying to do preschool stuff with the kids, I am failing at keeping the house clean, but we stay outside anyway. Katie keeps asking me to teach her how to read, so that is my project for this fall. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them!
Here are a couple pictures so you can see how big the kiddos are.

It just hit me!
So as I was looking at pictures of Scott, me and the kids I realized something.
I am not a kid anymore. I just got home from a week in Spokane with my family and I saw all of the kids that I used to babysit. They are graduating from high school! I didn't realize I grew up.
I also realized it when I did my 10K. I have just always thought of myself as sporty. Able to go out and do anything whenever I wanted to. You know like teenagers can. So I only ran 2 times the last 3 weeks before the race and the day after I was hurting. Since when does that happen.
I also have a daughter who will be four in 4 months!
WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? When did I become an adult?
You know what though...it's not a bad thing. I love my life, I love my family and we are living and learning and growing together.
Guess you have to gr0w up sometime.

Scottie's Birthday!
Scott is 28!
We were able to go out without the kids and that was GREAT! Here are a couple of pictures from the party at home. I attempted to make an icecream cake and everything that could go wrong did. I am not kidding. At least the picture looks cool.
Scott likes to downplay things so it was a pretty easy going birthday. Some birthday I will have to throw him a huge party and make him way out of his comfort zone...but not this time.
I caught him right before he did his gang sign.I forgot the candles so he got to blow out a match.
Here it is...the DEMON cake. First the cake stuck to the pans because I didn't grease them enough. Then the icecream melted because I didn't let the cake cool enough. Then the frosting wasn't cooperative. The only thing that went right was the popcorn. If you can't tell what it is it is supposed to be a bucket of popcorn. The popcorn was actually really good with the cake...I never would have thought it would be a good combo but it was.

My Little Megan
So I decided that I would surprise Scott today when he comes home and have homemade Pizza for him. Well I got all the ingredients out and started off on the task...which by the way I have yet to find a pizza crust recipe that I like. If you have one please leave it in the comments. I am making this new pizza crust recipe and I turn around to put the flour away and this is what I find.
Powdered sugar...EVERYWHERE! The picture of her where she is crawling toward me...it's like she is saying that's right mom I did it and there is nothing you can do about it because I am just so darn cute.
Well everything is cleaned up and my dough is rising. Hopefully it will taste better than some of the others I have tried.

We're Back
I have decided that I am done trying to play catch up. So I will just start over all together. Life is great. Scott just signed a contract with channel 7 to keep us in Boise for the next 2 and a half years. We are really excited because instead of being titled a reporter he s now a weekend anchor/reporter. It is great as far as experience goes because when it comes to getting a new job later down the road he can apply for anchor jobs which is what he really wants to do!
As for the kids...they are getting big and loving life. Here are a couple pictures of the kiddos.
